Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

You will be picked up from your Arusha hotel early in the morning and drive to Tarangire National Park (approx. 2-3 hours). Tarangire is famous for its massive elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. You will enjoy a full day game drive with a picnic lunch inside the park, spotting elephants, zebras, giraffes, lions, and over 500 bird species. In the late afternoon, you will drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

After an early breakfast, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and natural amphitheater home to over 30,000 animals. You will enjoy a half-day game drive on the crater floor searching for the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, rhino), hippos, flamingos, and hyenas. You will have a picnic lunch at the hippo pool before ascending and driving back to Arusha for drop-off at your hotel or airport.
