Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

You will be picked up from your Arusha hotel and drive to Tarangire National Park for a full day game drive. Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife including lions, leopards, and giraffes. You will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park. In the late afternoon, you will drive to your lodge near Tarangire or in Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will drive through the scenic Ngorongoro Highlands to the Serengeti National Park. You will enjoy game viewing en route as you enter the endless plains. In the afternoon, you will have a game drive in the Serengeti before heading to your camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Full Day in Serengeti National Park

You will spend a full day exploring the Serengeti with morning and afternoon game drives. You may take a picnic lunch for a full day in the bush. The Serengeti is home to lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, and large herds of wildebeest and zebras. If you are visiting between July and October, you may witness the Great Migration. You will return to your camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater to Karatu

After a morning game drive in the Serengeti, you will drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive, searching for the Big Five including the rare black rhino. You will enjoy a picnic lunch at the hippo pool before ascending and driving to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Lake Manyara to Arusha

After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a morning game drive. The park is known for its tree-climbing lions, large baboon troops, and flamingos along the lake shore. After a picnic lunch, you will drive back to Arusha for drop-off at your hotel or airport.
