The only national park located within a capital city, Nairobi National Park offers a genuine safari experience just 20 minutes from the city center. You can spot lions, black rhinos, giraffes, zebras, and over 400 bird species with the city skyline as a dramatic backdrop
Morning (6:00 AM – 11:00 AM)
You will be picked up from your Nairobi hotel between 5:30 AM and 6:00 AM for an early morning start when wildlife is most active . Enter the park and enjoy a game drive across the savannah plains, visiting key spots like Hyrax Valley for grazing animals and Narogoman Dam for birdwatching. Keep your eyes peeled for lions, cheetahs, and rhinos.
Mid-Day (11:00 AM – 2:00 PM)
Visit the Safari Walk and Animal Orphanage at the park entrance for an up-close experience with rescued animals – a great hit with families. You may also continue to the Athi Plains with a picnic lunch near the Athi River Track to see hippos.
Afternoon (2:00 PM – 5:00 PM)
Continue game viewing in different sectors of the park before exiting in the late afternoon. You will be dropped back at your Nairobi hotel by 5:30 PM.
