Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
You will be picked up from Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park (3-4 hours). You will enjoy an afternoon game drive in this park famous for its large elephant herds and baobab trees. You will have dinner and overnight at a lodge near the park. Meals: Lunch, dinner. Accommodation: Tarangire area lodge.
Day 2: Tarangire to Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park. You will enjoy an afternoon game drive in this diverse park, home to tree-climbing lions, large baboon troops, flamingos, and groundwater forests. You will have dinner and overnight at a lodge near the park.
Day 3: Lake Manyara to Lake Natron
After breakfast, you will drive to the remote Lake Natron, located at the base of Ol Doinyo Lengai volcano. This area is the largest breeding ground for lesser flamingos. You may enjoy a walking safari or simply relax at the eco-camp with views of the Rift Valley escarpment. You will have dinner and overnight at Lake Natron Camp.
Day 4: Lake Natron to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you will drive to the Serengeti National Park, entering via the remote western corridor. You will enjoy game viewing en route, spotting lions, elephants, and wildebeest herds. You will arrive at your camp in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Full Day in Serengeti National Park
You will spend a full day exploring the central Serengeti (Seronera area) with morning and afternoon game drives. This area is known for its high predator density including lions, leopards, and cheetahs. You may take a picnic lunch for a full day in the bush. You will return to your camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater Rim
After a morning game drive in the Serengeti, you will drive south to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will stop at Olduvai Gorge (optional) to visit the museum and see early human fossils. You will then continue to the Ngorongoro Crater rim for dinner and overnight at a lodge with crater.
